Underground Production Foreman

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Implement all safety policies and ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company policies, rules, and regulations
• Supervise and provide direction to hourly employees in production and/or utility work
• Plan, organize, schedule, and coordinate with the Shift Foreman all mining and/or utility projects
• Supervise coal production, power moves, belt moves, timber and cribbing, stopping construction, water line set-ups, and other associated activities as assigned
• Assure performance standards are maintained
• Actively support and promote the Behavioral Based Safety program -- WOLVES

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of five (5) years of underground mining experience
• Previous successful supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Computer Proficiency
• Proved safety and attendance record
• WV Mine Foreman Certification
• Thorough knowledge of general mining practices, State and Federal mining laws

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years previous supervisory experience
• Dust certification or an ability to obtain
• EMT certification a plus
