Outby Foreman

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:  

• Implement all safety and environmental policies and assures regulatory compliance
• Develop an understanding and provide leadership promoting behavior based safety
• Supervise and provide direction to hourly outby employees
• Oversee all outby construction projects (track, belt drive installation, overcasts, ventilation changes, etc)
• Completes required airway examinations
• General upkeep of all outby areas of mine

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum two (2) years of maintenance supervisory experience
• West Virginia Underground Foreman certification required
• Proven safety and attendance record
• Proven leadership ability
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
