Mining Engineer Intern

Primary Purpose and Function:

Responsible for providing engineering support by providing design and technical assistance regarding all aspects of the mining operation

Primary Working Relationships:

Engineering Manager, Mine Manager, General Mine Foreman, Surveying Team, and others

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist engineering and production staff in daily operations and mine planning

Assist with mine site engineering projects

General underground operations assignments

Interface with mine site, corporate and government regulatory personnel

Required Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Mining, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering Program at a college or university and have completed sophomore year by the start of the internship

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with AutoCad and Carlson software

Excellent organizational and planning skills

Ability to work in a team environment
