Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Location: Beckley Mining Complex (Eccles, WV)

Overall Job Purpose:

Direct the maintenance function in the installation, inspection and maintenance of the mine site.

Responsibilities Include:

• Direct, develop, lead and manage the maintenance function, maintenance personnel, parts/supplies and maintenance by establishing a motivational working environment.
• Directs, develops, leads and manages overall maintenance activities of salaried and hourly maintenance employees and equipment engaged in the production and transportation of coal from the working areas, as well as other maintenance activities associated with the mines operation.
• Keep all equipment in compliance with all State and Federal laws and within company policies.
• Hold safety meetings with crews and make several pre-shift checks including review of examiner's books, equipment conditions, section conditions, and roof conditions.
• Identify and supervise the elimination of hazardous conditions derived from roof conditions, dust, gas, and those related to material handling, movement of equipment and electrical power distribution.

Minimum Required Skills, Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

7 years mining supervisor experience

Thorough knowledge of general mining practices, State and Federal mining laws

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mining Engineering

Mine Foreman Certification

Electrician Certification

Experience developing reliability based maintenance programs

Experience working with facilities in a consulting role
